Welcome to the 2012/13 school year!
Meadow Green Elementary School is one of six schools in the Lowell Joint School District and is located in Whittier, California. The current enrollment of Meadow Green School is 447 students. Meadow Green is a caring community that is dedicated to ensuring that each child reaches his or her potential. Students, staff, and families unite to provide our students with an outstanding educational environment. Today's students will become tomorrow's leaders. Franklin D. Roosevelt stated, "We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future." Our goal is to prepare students to be critical thinkers, responsible and respectful students, and life-long learners who are ready for the demands the future will place on them. Meadow Green students are ready and eager to learn. The teachers and staff of Meadow Green are dedicated to providing an instructional program of the highest quality using the District Standards as a guideline. Coupled with an enthusiastic staff and supportive parents, our school is the location of active learning every day.
The P.R.I.D.E. Program at Meadow Green stands for Personal Responsibility In Daily Effort. Our students, teachers, and parents are committed to accepting and succeeding at showing Personal Responsibility In Daily Effort. Students show P.R.I.D.E. by respecting themselves, their potential, and by respecting others. These elements combine to create a healthy learning environment at Meadow Green.
It is my privilege to be a part of this caring community and serve as the principal of Meadow Green Elementary School. I look forward daily to associating with a dedicated staff, a committed student body, and a supportive parent community. The Meadow Green PTA constantly supports our school with worthwhile activities and educational assemblies. Their efforts make a difference in the lives of the children. I encourage all parents to become actively involved.
