About Mr. Cukro
Greetings current and future Meadow Green families, my name is Matt Cukro and I am the very proud Principal at Meadow Green Elementary School, "The Home of Scholars." I joined the Meadow Green staff and Lowell Joint School District in July, 2018 after eight years as a Principal, Assistant Principal, and Teacher in the La Habra City School District. Prior to my time in La Habra, I spent a year teaching in the East Whittier City School District after moving to Southern California from New York State. I also has previous experience as a classroom teacher in New York State and as an Academic Counselor for the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth and Upward Bound programs.
I live locally in East Whittier in the Lowell Joint District with my wife, who is a first grade teacher and my two children who also attend Lowell Joint School District. As the the Principal at Meadow Green, my goal is to support strong academic achievement and promote a campus climate that is centered around respect, responsibility, honesty and integrity through a united partnership between our staff and our families.
As the instructional leader at Meadow Green, my objectives are to support our staff with providing high level instruction to our students, engaging with all of our stakeholders at our campus and in our community, and to building opportunities for parents, families, and students to engage in positive ways with our school.
