Welcome to Meadow Green Elementary!
Meadow Green Elementary School is one of six schools in the Lowell Joint School District and is located in Whittier, California. Meadow Green is a TK-6 Gold Ribbon and California Distinguished Award Winning School. Meadow Green is a caring community that is dedicated to ensuring that each child reaches his or her potential. Students, staff, and families unite to provide our students with an outstanding educational environment. Today's students will become tomorrow's leaders. Franklin D. Roosevelt stated, "We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future." Our goal is to prepare students to be critical thinkers, responsible and respectful students, and life-long learners who are ready for the demands the future will place on them. Meadow Green students are ready and eager to learn. The teachers and staff of Meadow Green are dedicated to providing an instructional program of the highest quality using the District Standards as a guideline. Coupled with an enthusiastic staff and supportive parents, our school is the location of active learning every day.
Our students continue to rank among the highest performing elementary schools not only in the Whittier / La Habra area, but across the state of California on yearly California Smarter Balanced assessments in both English Language Arts and Math. These strong outcomes can be seen on the California School Dashboard, which is released and updated yearly by the California Department of Education. Meadow Green also ranks number one or at the top of rankings for schools in the cities of Whittier and La Habra by sites such as Niche.com and Greatschools.org. Strong results on these rigorous assessments indicate that Meadow Green produces students who are college and career ready!
The P.R.I.D.E. Program at Meadow Green stands for Personal Responsibility In Daily Effort. Our students, teachers, and parents are committed to accepting and succeeding at showing Personal Responsibility In Daily Effort. Students show P.R.I.D.E. by respecting themselves, their potential, and by respecting others. These elements combine to create a healthy learning environment at Meadow Green.
The Meadow Green PTA constantly supports our school with worthwhile activities and educational assemblies. Their efforts make a difference in the lives of the children. I encourage all parents to become actively involved.
